Circa 39 Miami Beach: Boutique, Estilo & Refugio en el corazón de Mid-Beach

Circa 39 es un nuevo miembro del MDGLCC. Me enteré de ellos en la sesión de Maximizing Your Membership Orientation. Poco después, fueron anfitriones de uno de los Hospitality Council Meetings en agosto. Y claro, como Co-Chair Ambassador del Chamber —y porque nunca me resisto a conocer de primera mano los hoteles y restaurantes de nuestros miembros— no podía perderme ese evento. Llegué cargado de expectativas después de tanto escuchar sobre su vibra boutique, su estilo art déco y su promesa de calma en medio del caos de South Beach.

Circa 39 is a new member of the MDGLCC. I first heard about them during the Maximizing Your Membership Orientation. Not long after, they hosted one of the Hospitality Council Meetings in August. And of course, as a Co-Chair Ambassador of the Chamber —and because I can never resist discovering our members’ hotels and restaurants firsthand— I wasn’t about to miss it. I arrived full of expectations after hearing so much about its boutique vibe, art deco style, and promise of calm amidst the hustle of South Beach.

El hotel está ubicado en el 3900 de Collins Avenue, a solo unos pasos de la playa: basta cruzar la calle y caminar unos metros para sentir la arena blanca de Miami bajo los pies. Su fachada art déco le da una bienvenida elegante, con ese encanto que tanto me gusta de los hoteles boutique de la zona.

Circa 39 se encuentra en pleno corazón del llamado Wundermile, lo que lo convierte en la base perfecta para explorar no solo las playas, sino también los barrios más vibrantes de la ciudad: Wynwood, el Design District, Brickell, Little Haiti y mucho más. Además, está a un corto trayecto de South Beach, el Miami Beach Convention Center, Ocean Drive y Lincoln Road. Desde festivales de música y galerías de arte hasta restaurantes para todos los gustos, este hotel es un refugio relajado en medio de la energía inagotable de la Magic City.

Caminar a la playa desde Circa 39 es facilísimo, pero si quieres disfrutarla sin tanto público, cruza temprano en la mañana. Tendrás el mar casi para ti solo y la luz perfecta para fotos espectaculares.

The hotel is located at 3900 Collins Avenue, just steps away from the beach — simply cross the street and you’ll find yourself on Miami’s white sand shores. Its art deco façade offers an elegant welcome, capturing the boutique charm that sets Circa 39 apart.

Nestled in the heart of the so-called Wundermile, Circa 39 is the perfect base to explore not only the beach, but also Miami’s most vibrant neighborhoods: Wynwood, the Design District, Brickell, Little Haiti, and more. It’s also just a short ride to South Beach, the Miami Beach Convention Center, Ocean Drive, and Lincoln Road. From music festivals and art galleries to world-class dining and shopping, this boutique hotel is a laid-back residence in the middle of the endless energy of the Magic City.

🌿 WunderGarden: El rincón secreto de Circa 39

Durante el recorrido que nos dieron por Circa 39, una de las paradas más encantadoras fue el WunderGarden. Este patio interior tropical es un verdadero oasis en pleno Mid-Beach, rodeado de palmeras, orquídeas y plantas exóticas que crean un ambiente bohemio y relajado.

Lo que más me gustó fue la versatilidad del espacio: un lugar perfecto para relajarse con un café, pero también ideal para disfrutar de las fiestas de ron, sesiones de yoga y música en vivo que organizan allí. Además, el jardín está disponible para eventos privados, lo que lo convierte en un escenario único para celebraciones íntimas rodeadas de naturaleza y buena vibra

🌿 WunderGarden: Circa 39’s Secret Garden

As part of our hotel tour, we were shown one of Circa 39’s most magical corners: the WunderGarden. This lush courtyard in the heart of Mid-Beach feels like a tropical hideaway, filled with orchids, palm trees, and vibrant greenery that instantly puts you at ease.

The space truly embodies the hotel’s bohemian spirit. Whether it’s a laid-back morning coffee, a rum party, yoga session, or live music event, the WunderGarden blends relaxation with community energy. It’s also available for private gatherings, making it an unforgettable backdrop for intimate celebrations in the heart of Miami Beach.

Habitaciones y Baños / Rooms & Bathrooms

Una de las partes más interesantes de mi visita fue descubrir que el Circa 39 está en pleno proceso de renovación. Esto significa que hoy puedes vivir dos experiencias distintas dentro del mismo hotel: las habitaciones ya remodeladas y las que aún esperan su turno.

Las habitaciones renovadas sorprenden con un diseño moderno y elegante: paredes en tonos suaves, detalles en madera natural, iluminación cálida y un estilo minimalista que invita a relajarse. Los baños ahora son amplios y sofisticados, con duchas tipo rain shower, mármol claro y acabados que transmiten frescura y confort.

En contraste, las habitaciones anteriores mantienen un aire más tropical y rústico, con colores vibrantes y un mobiliario clásico que recuerda al estilo boutique original del hotel. Aunque diferentes, siguen siendo acogedoras y reflejan la esencia art déco de Miami Beach.

Este contraste convierte al Circa 39 en un lugar en plena evolución, donde conviven la tradición y la modernidad, y donde cada huésped puede apreciar de primera mano cómo el hotel se reinventa para ofrecer lo mejor de ambos mundos.

One of the most interesting parts of my visit was discovering that Circa 39 is currently undergoing a renovation process. This means that today you can actually experience two different vibes within the same hotel: the newly renovated rooms and those still waiting their turn.

The renovated rooms stand out for their modern, elegant design: soft neutral tones, natural wood details, warm lighting, and a minimalist style that invites you to relax. The bathrooms now feature a more sophisticated look, with spacious layouts, sleek rain showers, and light marble finishes that create a fresh and comfortable atmosphere.

In contrast, the previous rooms still keep a more tropical and rustic charm, with vibrant colors and classic furniture that recall the boutique essence the hotel has always been known for. Different yet cozy, they still reflect the timeless art déco character of Miami Beach.

This contrast makes Circa 39 a property in constant evolution, where tradition meets modernity, and where every guest can witness firsthand how the hotel is reinventing itself to deliver the best of both worlds.

Piscina & Amenidades | Pool & Amenities

Durante el tour que nos ofrecieron en el evento, tuve la oportunidad de conocer la piscina y algunas de las amenidades que distinguen a Circa 39. Aunque no me quedé en el hotel ni disfruté de sus espacios como huésped, sí pude ver de cerca el ambiente tropical de su área de piscina, rodeada de vegetación y con ese aire relajado que invita a desconectarse un rato del ritmo de Miami.

Nos contaron también sobre el Tiki Fish n’ Burgers Pool Bar & Grill, un espacio casual para disfrutar de hamburguesas, mariscos frescos y cocteles tiki con vibra isleña. Y dentro del hotel, el WunderBar y Jules Kitchen suman otras opciones para desayunar o compartir un cóctel infusionado con ron.

Además, el hotel ofrece acceso directo a la playa, con sillas, toallas y sombrillas incluidas en la tarifa diaria. Todo está pensado para que los huéspedes tengan una experiencia completa, entre la calma de la piscina y la energía de la playa.

As part of the event, I joined the guided tour where they showed us Circa 39’s pool and amenities. While I didn’t stay overnight or personally use these spaces, I got to see firsthand the tropical vibe of the pool deck—lush greenery, sun loungers, and that relaxed atmosphere that feels like a small oasis in Miami Beach.

The team also shared details about the Tiki Fish n’ Burgers Pool Bar & Grill, a laid-back spot for juicy burgers, fresh seafood, and bold tiki cocktails. Inside, WunderBar and Jules Kitchen provide more options, from energizing breakfasts to rum-infused cocktails that highlight Miami’s tropical spirit.

Guests also enjoy easy beach access—just cross the street and find beach chairs, umbrellas, and towels included in the daily fee. It’s all designed to balance the calm of the pool with the excitement of the ocean.

Como Co-Chair Ambassador del MDGLCC, para mí siempre es un orgullo visitar y apoyar a los negocios que forman parte de nuestra cámara. El evento del Hospitality Council en Circa 39 fue una oportunidad no solo para conocer este encantador hotel boutique, sino también para conectar con otros miembros en un espacio que refleja lo mejor de nuestra comunidad: hospitalidad, inclusión y estilo único.

For me, as a Co-Chair Ambassador of the MDGLCC, it’s always an honor to visit and support businesses that are part of our Chamber. The Hospitality Council event at Circa 39 was not only a chance to discover this charming boutique hotel, but also to connect with fellow members in a space that reflects the best of our community: hospitality, inclusion, and unique style.

Cierre / Conclusion

Circa 39 es mucho más que un hotel: es un refugio boutique que combina diseño art déco, calidez local y una ubicación privilegiada en Miami Beach. Aunque mi visita fue breve y en el marco de un evento, me llevé la sensación de que es un lugar pensado para quienes buscan desconectarse del bullicio sin alejarse de lo mejor de la ciudad.

Circa 39 is more than just a hotel—it’s a boutique hideaway that blends Art Deco design, local warmth, and a prime Miami Beach location. While my visit was brief and part of an event, I left with the impression that this is a place designed for those who want to unwind from the hustle while staying close to the best the city has to offer.
